Kiren Sahni, DO, FACR
Double Board Certified Rheumatologist

Kiren Sahni, DO, FACR, is an experienced rheumatologist and leads the team at Sahni Rheumatology & Therapy, located in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Dr. Sahni is a third-generation physician with 26 doctors in his family, however, it was his initial career as a firefighter that drew his avid interest in medicine. Dr. Sahni served as president of his undergraduate university class and obtained his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Dr. Sahni completed his residency training at Hackensack University Medical Center Palisades and graduated as Chief Rheumatology Fellow from the HCA Healthcare/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He is board certified in Rheumatology & Internal Medicine and has additional training in advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound as well as electrodiagnostic testing. 

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Sahni has been elected as the Medical Honoree of the year by the National Arthritis Foundation, holds the position of assistant professor of Rheumatology at Robert Wood Johnson Monmouth Medical Campus, serves on the Communications & Marketing Committee for the American College of Rheumatology, is involved in multiple active clinical trials, and has published in prestigious journals, including the Journal  of Pediatric Blood and Cancer, the American Journal of Otolaryngology,  and The Rheumatologist (the official publication of the American College  of Rheumatology).

 
Alexandra Sahni

Alexandra “Ali” Sahni, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist

Before becoming a physical therapist Dr. Ali was a yoga instructor specializing in yoga for older adults. She has over 10 years of experience teaching senior fitness.

In 2010, she began her interest in the musculoskeletal system, with over 500 hours of teacher training through Yogaworks.

She graduated from Kean University with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and received her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from the prestigious City of New York College of Staten Island.

Dr. Ali’s interests include working with older adults on fall prevention and rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping older adults prevent falls and feel safe at home. She is experienced with the implementation of balance programs and can evaluate for home safety.

Dr. Ali is experienced with treating and providing home exercise plans for patients with rheumatoid, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Dr. Ali's treatment plans work to create proper body mechanics and motion patterns with exercise. Her hands-on manual care is tailored towards patient-specific movement goals whether it be walking, reaching up into a cabinet, playing sports, or simply standing up from a chair. 

She is currently pursuing a certification in Mckenzie method of MDT; an assessment process intended for all musculoskeletal problems including pain in the back, neck and extremities as well as issues with sciatica, sacroiliac joint pain, arthritis and degenerative disc disease. 

She enjoys spending her spare time with her three children and husband who is also part of the practice.
